My kids were never into that stuff (slime, etc). They are in their 20's now, but when they were younger they got a lot of DVDs and video games (and game systems). So, I guess less figet-y type stuff and lots of screens. I did make them go touch grass, though. And water. One's a lifeguard, the other one stopped just prior to certification.
This year they got vacuums, pots and pans, bougie olive oil and coffee, and money. If they're fidgety they can clean the house or make something to eat 😂
