I think it's a wonderful idea but, in my relatively uninformed opinion, difficult to achieve - at least, in the areas with which I'm somewhat familiar. Everything is spread out to the point that travel by car or public transportation is almost a requirement. It's hard to feel a sense of community, if you mostly see your neighbors as they arrive home from work, ready to enclose themselves in the familiar and - hopefully - friendly confines of their home.



A favorite handle overlaying a US Army shoulder patch I proudly wore for many years.
