Well... That was a week. I was putting out fires and catching up on three weeks of work and volunteer activities constantly, and then we reached the weekend with was more than fully booked with social activities.
Looking back, it was a great weekend and a productive week, but it also left me pretty burned out and, of course, very late with the update (as usual)
Core Goals
Write, edit, or outline every day: I was very close missing out on my main goal this time, but I managed, mostly by doing writing exercises in the evenings (probably a bit more halfheartedly than I would've liked, but still).
Do Fantasticon preparation: I got everything done just in time for our last meeting.
Finish a story for Stupefying Stories: I got the story done and submitted. I'm not very confident that it will win, but I'm pretty happy with the story I ended up with, and that's rare enough in itself.
Catch up on projects at work: I'm far from having caught up with the projects, but I got some work done on every one of them which was all I could hope for. And for one of them, at least, I'm more or less on top of things.
Stretch Goals
Do vocal exercises: Got this done early in the week.
Get exercise: I got far more exercise done that I could've hoped for. On the downside, it was because I was in grey sort of mood all week and I thought the exercise might help a bit. On the plus side, it did seem to help, along with getting some of my worries about work taken care off.
Eat healthy: Ugh... no. Started out well enough, but already by the middle of the week I was failing badly. And let's not even mention the weekend.
Do a review: Giving myself triple marks for this one (which I think is a first). I got in two WYRM reviews done, and I hadn't even thought I would get one done. Then I also got around to using the "Read & Review" section for the first time in a loooong while, and got two reviews done for some short pieces. Maybe that wasn't the smartest way to use my time given how much I also failed at achieving this week, but it felt nice reviewing more broadly again.
Be active on Codex: Well... No, not really. I submitted my story for Stupefying Stories via the editor on Codex, but that was it. I didn't even get around to catching up on forum conversations.
Submit stories: Nope. I had barely dared hope that I would reach this goal, so it wasn't a big surprise that I failed. Aside from the Stupefying Stories competition, I didn't get around to submitting a single story.
