In my younger days, the rear tires on my vehicles were quick to smoke, especially in my third car, a new 1972 Oldsmobile 442. It had a 455 cubic-inch (7.5L) Rocket V8 engine with 300 hp (high-output W-30 version), but the gray and black paint job was not factory. But two years and a dozen tickets later, I sold it and got a Ford F150, one of dozens I have owned.
I should note that in 50 years of driving, I have not received a citation in any of my trucks. My last ticket was eight years ago in my wife's KIA from a speed trap camera in a backwater town in South Carolina. The fine was $100 to pay or $250 if you went to court before the crooked city magistrate. Before that, it had been forty years since I got a ticket for anything.
