I've got big ideas, but since I've never exposed myself to the usual adult books and movies, I lack awareness of basic cultural tropes and cliches and end up struggling to "reinvent the wheel" where someone else would know exactly what makes the most sense because they've already seen it or read it before. Kinda hard to explain.
