Weekly Goals

The last couple of weeks have been extremely busy. Too much to do at work, family birthdays, and our local con. Con work, at least, is over for now, but there is still too much to do at work and social engagements keep overflowing my calender for the rest of the month. It feels like all I can do is to try and keep my head above water until summer vacation.

Still, there are writing stuff to do!

Core Goals There are the main goals, the ones I will focus on first.

Write, edit, or outline every day: Same number one pritority as always: stay consistent.

Complete line edits: I have one short story that "just" needs some line editing before I should be ready to submit it to magazines.

Get exercise: I want to keep my good habit going and get 2-3 exercise sessions done while also staying somewhat active in the in-between days.

Stop snacking: Another good habit I have to keep focus on. No snacking until the weekend.

Send at least three protocols for review: Sadly, I need to put work-stuff on the list again to make sure I actually get it done. This one is going to be tough, but it needs to get done.


Stretch Goals The not-quite-as-important goals. The ones I want to achieve but I won't be overly sad about missing out on.

Do vocal exercises: Again, I'm keep this goal more vague than usual, but I still want to get some vocal exercises done.

Participate in the weekly Codex lunc: I should be able to set aside some time for the weekly lunch.

Stay up to date with Codex: Like the last couple of weeks, I want to stay up to date with the Codex forum and avoid creating a massive backlog to follow up on.

Submit stories: I have two stories ready to go out again, and if I can finish the line edits mentioned above, then there are three stories I want to send out.

Do a review: I need to get a WYRM review done before I fall out of the habit of doing them again.

Follow up on WdC commitment: I missed this one last week, but I hope to catch up before the weekend.
