One thing I don't miss since retiring is trying to track down weird bugs in my (or even worse, someone else's) code, particularly the now-you-see-'em-now-you-don't variety. This one sounds like it's in the "more trouble than it's worth" category, but at least I now know it isn't me doing something dumb in my config.
