At one point, there was talk of Steinman collaborating with Andrew Lloyd Webber on a Broadway musical about vampires. I think "Total Eclipse of the Heart" was meant for that project, which obviously never happened because New York City still exists and didn't get sucked into a massive black hole of melodrama.
