If it's only for a specific group, then you can just put them all on that group access. Group members will not need a passkey.

If you have a passkey for people outside the group, I'd still put all the files on group-only access, then set them all to have the same passkey (so those outside the group who have the passkey only have to know one passkey.)

It's important to note that if someone doesn't have the proper level of access (i.e, they're not a group member and the items are set to group-only access), they can't even see the items in the folder set to that access.

In the past, these are the steps I've taken to give both group members and outside-the-group readers (of my choosing) access to the same novel in folder format:

1.) Set the folder and all files within to group-only access.

2.) Give the folder and all files within the same passkey.

3.) List that passkey in the body of the folder, if you like. If the folder's on restricted access then only those with access can see the body of the folder.

4.) Put a list of links to the items in the folder in the body of the folder item, so that those who don't have access except by passkey have the links. I like to put these links under a dropnote.

It's been a few years since I've done this, as I took to deleting old book items, but it worked well for me back then. I hope you find a method that suits you!
