Second week after the summer holidays, and things are slowly starting to get going again. There definitely some carryover from last week I need to work on, but then again, there are also habits that got started at again and “just” need to continue with.
I’ll be focusing on keeping those habits going and cleaning up my backlog of tasks from last week rather than pushing myself with too many new goals.
Core Goals
Write, edit, or outline every day: Same number one priority as always.
Complete edits : I have one short story that is almost done but just needs one or two more rounds of edits.
Get exercise: Another habit I want to continue. I hope to get 2-3 exercise sessions done every week.
Stop snacking: I did all right last week, but I need to stop snacking completely outside of the weekends.
Do vocal exercises: Yet another good habit to keep working on. I want to get back into doing the vocal exercises 1-2 times a day.
Stretch Goals
Do a WdC review: Ideally, I’ll be doing more than one, but I failed this goal last week and don’t want to push myself too hard. But I do have a secret hope of reviewing all the entries for the July edition of the Lodestar competition now that I don’t have time to participate with a story of my own.
Stay up to date with Codex: I want to avoid falling behind on all the forum discussion once again.
Submit stories: I got several rejections for stories I sent out just before my vacation. Those need to go out again. And if I complete my editing goal above, then that will be another story that should also go out on submissions.
Do a WYRM review: Another catch-up goal from last week. I want to get at least one review done for WYRM.
