I want to learn more genetics than I did back when I was completing my degree. I took one semester of genetics(in hind sight I should've taken the lab.). Things weren't as advanced as they are now. I mean they didn't even talk about environmental DNA.(small traces of local life forms found in mud, water and soil.) and I'm pretty sure we're gaining a much better picture of what the genes in our, and other life form's bodies are doing.
Actually can I add to my answer. I wanna study genetics and historical migrations of H. sapiens and see what we could learn about the way different cultures and ethnicities interacted. I also want to learn more about that weird new kid on the block, Astro-Biology.(I think thats a thing and anyways it's new to me. One of the reasons I was really into Star Trek: TNG, Voyager, DS 9 and to a lesser extent, Enterprise was because of the exciting visions of life on other worlds.)
Lol, too bad I can't join 23rd century Star Fleet!
