This is an awesome question! This is actually an important question. I can see how frustrating it can be to have such visual demonstrations of wealth with every rocket launch while we struggle just to get by. I would argue that these launches represent a dream of something more to come, something better. Historically, every dollar spent on space flight has multiplied several times over in return. There are a lot of hiccups, no doubt. Several times nukes have been detonated in our atmosphere which took down satelites and left a radiation trail across the world causing all kinds of havoc. We even put 480+ million needles into space for an experiment that only partly worked. Truth is, space is rather large and even with all the satilites in orbit and to come, they take up a very, very small percentage of space. I don't think anything we do or say will stop rockets from launching. We could take away all the rights in the U.S. but that would simply open up the playing field for other countries. About unions I don't have any experience with, sorry. I will ponder the thought that Unions should be making a world in which they are no longer needed. Just a thought and not intended to upset. |
