I suppose it depends on what it is I don't know, and why I want to know it. A good bit of it is just random, sparked by something I saw online. For example, I just spent about 10 minutes trying to find out if / how orbits occupied by space junk are named and / or numbered. Why? For now, it's just curiosity sparked by an article about the possibility of fixing the problem ("Clean up on aisle [insert ITU-approved orbital designation here]" seems like a fun title for some future story).

I also spent a couple of minutes Googling some of the global variants for the U.S.'s 911 emergency phone service. Why? Just so I could add a bit of "local colour" to an entry in Killer Quokka of County K🤦 Author Icon's Drabble activity.

A favorite handle overlaying a US Army shoulder patch I proudly wore for many years.
