Well, one thing to think on is what it would take to make certain things, and how similar folks lived, and still live, in our world - looking at the Neolithic sorts, some Bronze Age stuff, Native Americans and Australian Aboriginals, among others.

As for "not all humans get along," just as there's werewolves and vampires that are monsters, there are those that are at least decent, so it's only fair that not every human is going to be a nice guy - in fact, some are so monstrous, it's not uncommon for the average Feral human to be willing to work with the average werewolf/vampire (or at least have an understanding/truce) and capture/kill these extremely dangerous humans, for the safety of the average people. Coincidentally, the reverse holds true - sometimes highly dangerous werewolves and vampires vanish in the Wilderness, only to turn up later as a Feral Human's trophy, as it were.
