Update for the week of September 22 to 28, 2025
Writing:
Write 750 words a day - Slow start to my week.... I was still under 3K by Friday. Managed to get to almost 5K words by Sunday night.
I did my Morning Pages each day and asked for guidance as needed.
I read Week 3 (Monday) and Week 4 (Friday) of The Artist's Way - I began my reading deprivation week on Friday and will do it until midnight of Thursday Oct. 2.
I did my check ins for Dragon Vale and Habit Heroes most days. I am aiming for 25 days for Habit Heroes to get credit for the WDC Birthday celebration.
Do a contest entry for WDC and a short story for The Bradbury. - Not yet, but I am working on something.
Review 10 stories and 4 poems on Deadlines for Writers. None yet.
Participate in as many writing events as I am able:
Mon. to Fri. 9 am Cre8tive Collection - Was able to do all days, but Wednesday.
Tues. 7 pm Artist's Way Interactive Workshop - 3rd class: Week 3 discussion. In order to course correct, we had to do Week 2 and 3 at the same time.
Thurs. 7 pm Cre8tive Collection. *Checkg*
Continue Substack workshop stuff that I copied. I still have yet to complete this.

Reading:
Goodreads 2025 Reading Challenge: 30 books. Read 27 books so far.

Work:
I worked with Kyle this week - it was a teaching day too, so we kept it low key.
Be ready to supply - full day in kindergarten.
Organize 2024 / 2025 year and 'put it to bed'
Organize for 2025 / 2026 school year.

Health:
6K steps a day - I have managed several really good days over 10K this week. Only 1 day below 6K so far.
Meditation - mainly done in the evening this week.
Water - drink at least 1000 ml a day. Better this week, but I can still improve.
Body Groove - none yet.
Do my physio exercises to increase the range of motion in my left elbow and shoulder *Checkg*
No eating after 8 pm. Struggled some days. Friday's dinner was at 8:30 pm, but it was a good one = homemade.
No screen time after 9 pm. Struggled.
Continue to re-establish my bed time after time for closer to 10:30 pm. Still needs work.

Other:
Take out Garbage, Green and Blue Recycling bins. *Checkg*
Take an Artist Date: Market trip, then walk to Matter of Taste. Also, on Sunday I went to Michael's to browse and bought Origami paper and some Hallowe'en decorations. Then I walked into Waterloo park and checked out the cheering - The Down Syndrome Society was having a fundraiser challenge and I bought a shirt. Then headed back to my car, stopping at Dairy Queen for a caramel sundae.
Getting my Online presence back. Nothing this week, but I did a 'consider list'.
Gardening - got up on the back hill and pulled all the Goldenrod weeds... I filled a whole bag.
Housecleaning
Help mother manage her finances and other things (laundry, meals, etc.) - I am now responsible for giving her her meds and she is not happy about this, but for her safety, I've had to step in.
Make appointment with her Cardiologist.
Make a hair appointment for my mother
Get the rest of the POA stuff to the proper places. Most of this is done, but I need to get a copy to my aunt.
Contact Dr. Barrett re: urine samples I need another requisition.
Get her to do her activities to have her urine tested and return the samples to the lab.
