Question of the Day!

The only good thing I can say about it is that, at the time, it was definitely something a bit different. Another one in the "a bit different" category that for some reason proved popular and irritated me almost as much was O Superman by Laurie Anderson. Even now, 40+ years later, just thinking about it sets my teeth on edge.

I can't really put my finger on what it is about Love Of The Common People (or, for that matter, Cat's In The Cradle) that bugs me. They just irritate me on some fundamental level. Driving Home For Christmas has a similar effect.

I stayed away from novelty songs - that would be like shooting fish in a barrel.
