So, I am the new organiser of this here forum. Apologies to everyone in advance. But, please, give all the love you can to Lilli ☕ and I thank her for this opportunity.
2 things - one, I have no idea how to make it look purty, and two, I am Australian, so I spell and punctuate differently.
What is your strategy when reading something you do not like?
Not work-related or to do with study. I have read some appalling things over the course of many university stays and through many jobs. This is when you select something to read for pleasure and it just does not resonate with you.
Me? I have a 50-page rule for novels, 25-page rule for novellas and 2-page rule for short stories (or 3; depends on how I'm feeling). If I have not been "grabbed" in that time, I stop reading. My TBR pile is way too big to read something I am not enjoying. Having said that, I have read some ARC works that I have not enjoyed, and have given my feedback direct to the author/ publisher instead of posting them publicly. They don't need my crappy reviews.
Reminder to all:
