I never liked Lady Mary with Henry. I thought they seemed more like brother and sister than a couple.

The humor she had with Matthew was totally gone.

I liked Lady Mary with Evelyn Napier. He had a sense of humor about himself. She didn't like him at first, but they became friends. He seemed the most like Matthew to me. Very trustworthy.

But Mary is such a strong character that they could have had her be alone and survive and thrive.

I love thinking about these prompts!
