Newbies Great idea for newbies - Hello everyone. About Me May I please introduce myself? I joined as a Registered Author at the end of October. I’m a senior citizen, but very much young at heart. As a Christian Southern lady, I live in North Carolina with my husband. We have one beautiful daughter, one wonderful son-in-law, and one terrific, lovely granddaughter who lights up our world. I love to read, and I would absolutely wither away if I couldn’t write. I can hardly go a day without a “writing fix.” I’ve never been published under my own name—long story… you’ll have to read the book for that one (giggle). I adore my family and friends fiercely. I enjoy the pursuit of happiness, faith, and love. My first writing love is fiction–romance (which sounds boring until it isn’t), and I write across many genres—so not boring! My second love is reading, and I enjoy nearly everything. Last year I read over 200 books. Television doesn’t appeal to me much; I don’t enjoy sitting through ads wrapped around the occasional show. Movies, however—without ads—are my weakness. My favorite genres are dance films and musicals. I also have two TV shows I enjoy, but I edit out the commercials. When I write, I listen to New Age music or light jazz. I have too many favorite authors to choose just one, and the same goes for poets. One of my favorite quotes is: “It’s not the thing we look upon that paints our point of view, but the heart through which we see it that gives our world its hue.” — Dean Jackson I came to Writer’s.com on the recommendation of an editor friend. I’m currently working on a saga that has grown gargantuan in size—a unique work of fiction I once thought I might post on WdC. However, I will not be self-publishing that story. I enjoy writing reviews, and doing so gives my mind a refreshing break from my own projects. Read my reviews—there are some truly superb storytellers here on WdC. I genuinely enjoy being here, and though I am not much of a computer person, I’m slowly finding my way around. Thank you for reading my little introduction. Warmly, Tee |
