Question of the Day!

I live in a pub, the only long-term stay. I don't have neighbours. But I do talk to all the staff.

When I had my own place, I had 1 neighbour, and she and I chatted all the time. Behind us was a paddock, and the house on the other side of mine was under the Public Trustee for the whole time I lived there (3 or so years), so was empty, with cleaners going in once a month to make sure it was "fine."

When I was married, neighbours on one side were fine, 2 across the road were good, behind was an old woman who complained and other side kept to themselves. We made a point of talking to everyone.

My mum hates all her neighbours and keeps herself to herself. We did not want to be like that.
