Live Preview For Static Items

I know that this type of suggestion has been made before—at least four times that I can find . So, in keeping with the spirit of timely intervals, I'm making a similar suggestion to bully SM *Whistle*

As someone who is admittedly overly-meticulous about presentation, I love being able to preview my work. I've been spending more time writing in journals lately and love having the ability to seamlessly float back and forth between raw text and a faux finished result. It's more efficient with time than "save and view" and allows for the quick correction of typos, broken WritingML, spacing, etc. Having preview functionality also preserves the stream of consciousness when writing which can be greatly inhibited by the antiquated route of save, edit, view, save, edit, view, etc.

Looking back at the past posts about this type of suggestion, the only meaningful response was to either use a journal entry set to private or the notepad. Those are fine and well suggestions, but they rely on inefficient methods that aren't using our creativity in solving the actual issue being brought up. If adding a preview function to a static item is dismissed because I can go do it elsewhere then what was the point of adding the option in multiple other places around the site—journal, forum posts, reviews, merit badges, trinkets, emails, etc. Because the same answer could've been used in response to each of those: you can preview it elsewhere. *Headbang* *Mindblown* *Facepalm* *Angelic*

So, yes, a preview for static items would be a wonderful addition. But I'm going to bring the topic into 2025/2026 and make the suggestion that we implement a live feed for static items (and other preview-enabled spaces) similar to the one used on the Newsfeed. It's the most economical use of the feature and our creative mojo.
