February book 1
Earlier this month I read Patricia Brigg's latest book, "Blind Date with a Werewolf." I read all of her books, now that I've found her. The Mercy Thompson series is still my favorite, but this was a fun read. It definitely had some unexpected events, interesting scenes, and I was happy with how Asil's story ended and how the book itself ended.

Here's the official blurb from the book's Amazon page ( https://www.amazon.com/Blind-Date-Werewolf-Patricia-Briggs-ebook/dp/B0DV491WSZ )
" When the deadly werewolf Asil is gifted five blind dates by some anonymous “friends,” his reclusive life will never be the same, in this enthralling novel in stories from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Mercy Thompson series.

Includes two all-new stories as well as three previously published stories.

Dear Asil:

We are worried about you. A werewolf alone is a sad thing, especially at Christmastime. So we have a challenge for you: five dates in three weeks. We have taken the work out of it and connected you with five people from online dating sites. You should also know that we have informed the whole pack and instigated a betting pool. Have fun!

Sincerely,
Your Concerned Friends"

The five dates were all very different and Briggs has an amazing imagination and gift for drawing me into her stories. She definitely made Asil sound different than any of the other characters from her series and while he was a bit overly self impressed, it was merited, so felt more lovable than bragging. I really loved Ruby. I would have loved more of her side, but other than that, and the sheer depravity of some of the criminals (I guess necessary to show Asil's goodness, but ... really one story was especially disturbing in that element, even thinking about that makes me cringe now, well after finishing the book and almost on the end of another), though the book was fantastic. If you are as disturbed by animal cruelty as I am, skip the must love felines date (I think it was story three).

Date four was my favorite, for romantic reasons.
