My all-time favorite painting (which I discovered in an art history class) is Las Meninas by Diego Velázquez. I don't really know why; it's just always stuck with me. And seeing it in person in Madrid was incredible.Artists whose general style/aesthetic I really like include Kandinsky, Monet, Picasso, Dalí, Rothko, Escher, etc.
