I'd say she had a profound influence on you. Maybe not your career but you, yourself. Yes all those things back then about that women shouldn't be doing those types of things were definitely frowned upon. I dated a couple of young teen feminists and it was eye opening as well. In the 1960's, we were going through a lot with the Space Race, Vietnam, Anti-war protesting, Civil Rights marches, Assassinations, The Cold War and the big counter culture that was happening with the hippy movement with the explosion of all kinds of great music. Lot of that influenced myself as well but not as much as the person who did. I agree, there are rules you don't break and others, like you said, are stupid and shouldn't be acknowledged. |
