I celebrate the Solstice as well. I feel it is spiritual. Yes, I can understand staying home on New Years Eve. Keeps you safe and you have every screwball out there behind the wheel. It's like Russian roulette on who's DUI out there. I ran into quite a few when I was driving buses. It became like playing bumper cars but that was their problem when you run into a 20 ton bus. Best to stay home when having drinks. I had to worry about my CDL. I didn't need to be out there drinking and driving. Which from a Drivers standpoint is a big No No. My wife and I always stayed home on New Years Eve. We'd have a toast and then dig into a nice variety of seafood we made for the evening. |
