What is the most unique nonprofit organization in your area? I am always amazed at people who train dogs and take them to dog shows to become a 'Champion'. It's not something I approve of, It goes along with my feelings on human Body Builders. But these people who take dogs to dog shows are generous when it comes to the breed of dog they show. A couple in this area are M.A.R.S., or Midwest Akita Rescue Society. The amount of money that can be raised borders on insane. I think that's unique to dog owners of the breed they support. It seems they take better care of dogs than they do humans! What does that say about humanity in general? Jim Dorrell{/sig} |
