"Soap Maker" 

Spotted Fawn followed her mother,
they reached the river bed with speed.
Yucca plants clean like no other,
her first time to gather soapweed.
She knew to seek the blade-like reed
among the rocks, the spiky shrub.
Its leaves and heart will fill a need.
Just crush to make a sudsy scrub.
