Noticing Newbies

Hello to everyone!

I posted an introduction on the general message board, which apparently is the wrong place to introduce one's self, so here goes again:

I am Lillian, married and retired. Hubs and I relocated from northern Michigan to southern Arizona last year after a horrific winter in a drafty house. We are both veterans: he's Army and I'm Navy. Good thing we don't follow that annual football game! LOL But he never calls me a "squid" and I never call him a "grunt" (although he was a medic, not an infantry man).

Currently I am working on a faith-based whodunit set in 1955. Chapter 1 is in my Portfolio should anyone care to review. I have ideas for some other works. I am a history buff, especially the World War 2 era, the Medieval era and Renaissance and Tudor eras.

We are cat parents to a sassy calico. I am also an aspiring classical guitar player, but as we make do on Social Security I am trying to teach myself through free resources. Slow and steady wins the race, as they say, and playing an instrument is good for preventing cognitive decline, as I am told.
