Title: An Introvert's Guide to Life and Love
Author: Lauren Applebaum
30 something Mallory Rosen lives in Seattle. She works remotely from her apartment, talks to practically no one besides forced meetings over Zoom, her family, and her best friend Carmen.
When her grandmother dies, Mallory finds out that she’s inherited a cottage on the Florida beach town where her grandfather lives in a senior assisted living complex.
The kicker is that her grandmother has asked that Mallory make sure her grandfather is okay.
Taking that literally, Mallory visits him. Meets a man on her first night in town, and makes friends pretty much magically among other people in town.
She’s fixing up Pebble Cottage to rent out to new tenants. The only problem is that it looks like Mallory might be the one moving in.
Told with heart and humor, we journey along with Mallory as she makes her awkward way into a new life. Not that she’s had a bad life, but it’s a fairly lonely one.
I liked the love interest and how that was played out along the way.
Maybe a little “chick-lite” but it was a cute story.
