Just finished,
The Lesser Dead

Joey is a teenage vampire. Living in New York in the late 70s. Told from his view, we learn how he feeds, charms, and "lives" every day. The challenges of being, his family. Then he sees a Little Girl one night on the subway, she can see him, charms don't work, and suddenly he isn't the deadest thing, feeding and hunting.

Crazy fast paced, and some of the best action scenes I have ever read. Feels like an 80s action movie. Vampires are old, hungry, dirty, and like animals. Not fuzzy and sparking. Ending it worth it, slows down a little halfway through but makes up for the stroll.

I read Between Two fires, wasn't a great fan. I read The Blacktounge Their. Spot on, very action heavy also. The Lesser Evil is another heavy, I liked it a lot.

August book, Joey is evil, just he finds more evil things.
