Hmm, that's delving into a long time ago. Not sure that I ever wanted anything before writing but there was a major interest that competed with it. For a while I wanted to be the greatest artist (painter) the world had ever seen. But that lost out when I developed a style so infinitely detailed and intricate that I became afraid to continue anything in case I ruined it.

After which, I was left with writing (which I'd always been better at, anyway).
