To answer your questions as best I can: the request was for reviewing the book item. What I expected was to be able to review a few of the chapters, and then do a review of the book item, which I expected would clear the review request because the entry review did not. Instead, the review area on the item (not another individual entry) was marked as already reviewed, so the only way to review the book item now seems to be to clear the rating I gave on the entry review. I know that's probably confusing. It's confusing to me, too. And if it's actually just working as it's meant to, that's okay; I just want to know.
