In fact, the "Design" page exploits this technique. It's probably best to use the legacy editor when doing the technique that's described on this site. Essentially, if you use a dropnote to open a page with an {insert:####} tag, the page referenced by the {insert:####} tag can ALSO have a dropnote. That LOOKS like a nested dropnote, but it's not. It's a hack depending on how the system processes the inserted page, which likely depends on the backend (Apache or ASP would do this differently, for example).
