When I was in my 20s and 30s I played pickup basketball with some coworkers after work. The games were serious, but yet not. Make no mistake, I was by far the worst player of the group. Yet they all respected me because I came out and played hard and had fun with it. At one point I mentioned my lack of skill to a friend (who was one of the best players in the group) and his response was, "there's no scouts here."

The same holds true on this site. There are plenty of writers of all skill levels, some of which have gotten published but most never will. But there's no scouts here. Nobody's sitting with a mental checklist seeing if you're "good enough" to be here. You're here. That's what counts. So write away and I hope you enjoy it!
