On Message Threading...

I'm not very good at explaining why, but I do know that threading in the traditional sense is not going to happen here. SM sat and explained it to me and it makes sense.

The forums would sit idle because you wouldn't know where the new messages showed up. The new subjects would push off the old subjects and then a thread added to an old subject would get lost and go unnoticed on pages 2, 3, 4, etc.

The way we have forums set up here right now encourages people to read what others have to say and find new posts & members easily. I think of them more as conversations instead of just bulletin boards. *shrug*

But SM is much better at explaining than I.
