For anyone to ask me about anything, just type in your question! |
Yeah, I agree with Fea, too! Even in the throes of my stupid, blind patriotism, I too thought, "Why am I grieving for those who died who I don't even know, for a city thousands of miles away?" I mean, the WTO is a huge corporation. I don't like corporations. But it made me sad that so many people died -- in a panic, jumping out of towers, even burning to death. Suffering of any kind always jolts right to my heart. 'Road trips are something I always associate with young Americans who're bored during the summer!' Heh! It amazes me that you haven't ever been on one before. I mean, there are so many countries just hours away! It's funny how North Americans and Europeans have different distance and time perspectives. I drove two hours every day, for four years, to high school and didn't think twice about it. Unfortunately, I don't think I myself could drive across Europe. I would end up in 50+ car accidents from trying to read road signs, focus on driving on the other side of the road, and possibly being distracted by all the awesome European cars! |
