1. “Where is he? I told him to meet me here at 9:00 PM. It’s 10:30 and I haven’t seen him yet. Doesn’t he know the meaning of the word responsibility?”

3. Carrie looked out the window of the bus watching the autumn trees glide by. Will he remember me, she wondered? It’s been twenty years. I have to find out. I have to find out if he still loves me. I have to find out if there’s still a chance.

4. The glider settled gently to the ground. What little noise it made was lost in the rustling of the leaves on the trees. Silently, the hatch opened and twenty men took up their positions as they had rehearsed so many times before. Only this time it wasn’t a rehearsal.
