"A Problem Page For All!"

Shot in their sleep? That's just awful!! I feel as safe as I can get where I live. It's not a famous spot that some would-be terrorist would think to hit, but I'm surrounded by enough people that if you need help, you can shout out and somebody will hear you (literally and figuratively!). We have pretty low crime rates. The really sad thing is that we have a high rate of child abuse. It's like every other day (no, not really, but it feels that way) you read in the paper about another father or stepfather or boyfriend -- or mother or baby-sitting or aunt or whoever -- who's beat a little kid or sexually molested a kid or even killed a child. It's very sad. ...But since I'm not a kid, I feel generally safe.
