Are you writing for publication?

I know personally, and am acquanited with, many professional writers. The two I do know (all repeatedly published) who have no day job, never had day jobs. One is a full-time mom, the other runs her family "farm" (a couple of cows and a vegetable patch).

No, you should definately not quit your day job, or look forward to doing so any time soon. Hardly anybody does who wants to keep eating and living indoors.
