A survey for anyone who lives in a small village or other close knit community.

OK, here's the thing.

I'm currently working on a story set in a small village in England, however I live in a very big city (Manchester, specifically) and I really have no idea what it's like to live in a small, close knit community.

So I thought, who better to turn to than other writers?

I'm especially keen on the thoughts of people who live in small English villages, but really anyone who lives in a little community ie. not a big city would be just as valuable.

I would really appreciate people taking a little time to answer the questions and should the story in question ever get completed (I'm known for having a short attention span) I will definately post it here.
