Me at age 19

This photo was taken in 1987 when I was 19. I am holding my daughter, Moriah, and standing next to my uncle Doug, who is now deceased. It was taken in Eagle River, Alaska.

Please keep in mind that feathering your hair was very popular back then. So 80s! *Laugh*

So proud a mother
to have a daughter
smiling winsomely

to hold a teddy
tight in her arms
as a tiny child

so long ago
now a grown up girl
pretty like her mother

to dream of her
singing a lovely lullaby
she remembered in a poem.
