You hold back your urge to possess her, realizing that by better understanding what has happened to you will better help you control your abilities.
"What about Claire?" You realize once you exit her she will be in control of herself again.
"I'll give her a sedative and she will sleep for a while," Harding said. She handed you a pill and you swallowed it. "You may want to get out of her body before it takes effect. You ooze out of her body and reform into your old self. It takes you a second to remember how to walk as yourself.
"Where do we begin?"
The testing took hours, she asked you to form into the liquid and form back many times. She would examine drops of the ooze, she took blood samples. You were interested but it started to get tiring. Harding saw this and stopped the examinations.
"You must be limited on how much you can change. I don't think it effects how long you can possession someone, but it does keep you from changing who you possess, eventually it would be easier to possess. You need to rest now, reenter Claire, when you wake up I'll tell you what you can do."
You changed back into the ooze and reentered Claire as you were told. Once you had control you fell asleep again.
When you woke up Harding was writing on her papers, taking notes furiously. She saw you moving and smiled. "Glad to see you up and moving. Now come over here so I can tell you what you can do." You sat in the chair opposite of her and waited for what she said. "Now we are learning things about you, I mean this liquid every day, you are not the first person that has turned into this liquid, but you are the most advanced. Past powers include the following, body possession, as you have already learned."
"You can alter memories when you leave a person's body."
"You can possess more than one person at once by splitting yourself, the most we've seen is three, but I think with practice you could do five, maybe more."
"You can literally change into any person that you have touched since you have changed by thinking you want to be them. With this you need to be careful though because the old person is still out there. I'm hoping with your advanced nature, you might be able to create a mixed person, with parts of different people, so that if needed you could create a new person no one recognizes."
I nodded in understanding, this accident could turn into something phenomenal. "Is there anything else I can do?"
"Possibly, like I said, we modify this ooze and new things get discovered, I can tell your regenerative ability is something I've never seen before. There is one thing that I am curious about, if you were able do that last two, changing bodies, while in another body? I think that would be interesting to try. So the way I see it, you have two things we could do, stay here and test what you can do, or go out and see what you can do."
