Julie laughs and says, "jumpy aren't we."
She scared the heck out of you.
"You jump at the mirror, at me walking in, looks like somebody has been watching to many horror movies."
You turn around to Julie and say, "I wonder who was in here." Julie picks up the notebook sits in the pod and starts reading. Boots the cat is in the other pod and keeps jumping and hitting the red button. You go over and see what the cat is trying to do. You think to yourself must be a bug or something on it.
You pick up the cat and she scratches you and springs towards the button she partially depresses it this time, but it pops back out.
"Stupid cat" You swat at it and Spike comes to the rescue and chases it off.
"Spike is a stupid dog name, for a girl dog," Julie blurts out as she thumbs through the note book. "Who thought of that name?"
"Oh that was Tara; she was on a Tom and Jerry kick.... Spike is the name of the dog from that cartoon," you reply as you look at the button the cat was playing with. You hit it and the doors close, everything turns white and when you wake up you are in the other pod with the note book.
"What just happened," a strange voice says.
You look at the other pod and you see yourself and realize that must have been your voice. Do you sound like that?
Your body comes over and says, "The note book is right, the machine does transfer minds!"
"Lets switch back, this is freaky," you say as you look at yourself in the mirror.
Julie says, "wouldn't it be fun to be me for awhile, come on, nobody will know. This is great."
You finally convince Julie to switch back, after the pods open up the cat runs into the pod and try's to hit the button again, but gives up after you both are out of the pods. You wonder what is wrong with the cat. You and Julie head toward the house with the notebook, Julie wants to use the machine again, but you convince her you both should read up on it and before you use the machine again. You shut it down and walk out of the shed shutting the door behind you. As you leave the cat chases you both meowing like crazy trying to get you to follow her back to the shed.
Both of you read about the machine on the front porch. You and Julie decide to meet at the shed after supper and switch again.
You finish up eating early and head out to the shed. While waiting for Julie you sit in the pod and begin reading the notebook some more. You think to yourself it would be nice being one of the most popular girls in school.
