Chapter #6

They pledge a sorority

    by: online180
Madison, Kelly, Ginger, Cassi and Megan decided to rush for a sorority when rush week came up. They went to a variety of events, but they soon realized that they wanted to get into Delta Pi Eta [DPE] which seemed to be the coolest house on campus. The girls were all really friendly, and as Madison noticed, really pretty. Delta Pi always seemed to be teaming up with the most exclusive fraternities for parties and she wasn't opposed to that.

On bid night all the aforementioned girls were thrilled when they got into Delta Pi. Madison was honestly surprised that all of them got in, given the exclusivity, but she suspected that the rest of her group of friends were also popular in high school, so they were not intimidated by Delta Pi's grandeur and elite apperances.

Madison was loving sorority life during the first few weeks. Her sorority had a beautiful house, and it seemed apparent that she had chosen one of the cooler ones on campus. All the girls seemed really nice, and Madison had a great time hanging out with them. Most of the girls felt the same way about Madison and her friends.

A group of seniors were in charge of pledges for the semester, and would guide them into the sorority. This group consisted of three members. Karen was a senior who was a very smart philosophy and business major. She had light brown hair and stood about 5'6, and weighed 140 pounds. When she came to powers she was about 15 pounds lighter, but 4 years of parties had added a little extra padding. Karen was smart and creative, but could also be a bit cynical at times [but if you asked her she would just call herself pragmatic]. She approached college with the same analytical focus that she would apply to whatever post grad field she ultimatly decided to go into. She figured out 'the game' of how to make friends quickly, and create a large network of people on campus that she could confer with to her own advantage. When Powers was going to crack down on Delta Pi for underage drinking after one of the parties that it threw got busted, it was Karen who wisely already was friends with a few people in administration and the students on the greek advisory board, and then blew through the Delta Pi alumni phone book to get donors to start calling the university and letting them know to lay off. Almost through sheer willpower and lots of charisma, she got admin to look the other way.

Sarah was another girl pledge guide. Unlike Karen, who relied on her intellect, Sarah embodied another way to get ahead, her looks. The product of a rich businessman and a trophy wife, Sarah was a knockout, a perfect 10. She stood 5'8, yet weighed only 120 pounds. Sarah had a model like body, yet somehow also had a decent sized rack. Her face looked like she was taken straight out of a photo shoot, and her blonde hair complemented it well. You know how in movies, the lead actress always has an attractiveness that usually doesn't exist in reality, Sarah was one of the lucky few who had that. Sarah could be shallow, but contrary to what one may think, given her hotness, she was pleasant to most people, which made her even hotter to guys she talked to. Like Karen, Sarah had built an impressive network of friends for four years, it helped that she didn't mind sitting next to average looking guys in class and chatting them up as well, she realized that friends were currency, and she wasn't about to go burn some nerd who may go on to be a Senator or prominent figure someday.

Rachel was the final pledge guide. She was cute, but not the knockout Sarah was, and she was decently smart, but wasn't the ever calculating intellectual that Karen was either. Rachel stood 5'4, and had a slender build. She seemed rather down to earth when Madison was talking to her. Rachel had a great work ethic, which came about through means that she never lead on about. Powers was a rather exclusive university. It was private, and it wasn't cheap. Most of the people who went there either were decently well off, or had some combination of aid and scholarships. Rachel was in the later category. Her parents were never rich, but they worked hard and instilled the notion of hard work in her at an early age. This drive got her a full ride to Powers, and she worked hard to keep it. When her Sophomore year rolled around and she got to choose a room in the sorority house to live in, she purposely choose a room on the top floor, back hallway, in a nook that was small. This may have seemed less than ideal to most, but she wanted the ability to study most nights and not get sucked into a random party that had broken out on a Tuesday. Because of her background, Rachel seemed to be the most approachable of the girls.

You have the following choices:

*Noteb*
1. Madison accidentally annoys Karen

2. Cut to the pledge guides meeting to discuss the new class

*Noteb* indicates the next chapter needs to be written.
