Jon heads out the door. " I just need something to take the edge off my appetite. Then I won't get so carried away at the party. Maybe I'll just get something healthy like a Jamba Juice."
Five mintes later he stepped up to the counter. "Give me a medium Lime Fantasy."
Jon was proud of his self-control while he watched the girl whip up his drink.
"Here you go, Jon. I put in an extra energy boost for you."
Jon looked at the girl. It was Stacy, Chris' little sister.
"Oh, hi, Stacy. I didn't know you worked here." Jon was noticing that Chris' little sister wasn't so little anymore. She was bursting out of her uniform.
"I've been here all summer. First time I've seen you here though. You never are with Chris when he come in."
"Well, I've just been taking it easy this summer, handing around the house. See you around."
Jon waved at Stacy as he went out the door slurping down his drink.
"Man," he was thinking, "Stacy sure has packed on the pounds. Funny that Chris never said anything about it."
"Slurrrrrp." Jon sucked the last of his drink just as he reached his front door.
Inside he ditched the empty cup and checked his watch - "2:15, wonder what's on TV?'
He found a baseball game and watched.
"GRRRR'" his stomach was rumbling.
"No!" he told himself. This time I'm going to hold off until the party.
"GRRRRRRR" His stomach rumbled again.
