"I think she likes you." Luke gave his bud a nudge as he tore into his burger.
"Whatever," Mark took a big bite of his and chewed greedily. Secretly he liked the attention even though it was true that girls just seemed to find him attractive. He just couldn't help it.
Meanwhile, Luke finished his burger and sopped up the last of the catsup with his fried.
"That went down easy. Want another?"
He was up and heading for the counter without waiting for Mark to reply. He ordered two more Whopper meals and filled his cup. This time he smiled at the girl and asked her if she was a student. She told him that she was but that she was working full time for the summer.
"Thanks Sara. I'm Luke and that scruffy guy over there is Mark." Luke noticed here name tag and initiated the conversation. Sara smiled at him and then gave Mark an even bigger smile.
"Nice to meet you Luke. You just sit down and I'll bring your order over."
Luke topped off his drink and sat back down with Mark.
"You gotta take the initiative when you don't have a hot bod. You probably just have to smile to get the girls to fall all over you."
Luke had been a fat kid most of his life and the recent workouts which had shaped him up still hadn't convinced him that he wasn't still a fatty. Mark smiled. Luke was right. Girls just went for him. And Sara would be no exception.
"You are underestimating yourself, Luke. You shaped up pretty good over the last year."
The boys looked up to see Sara with a tray of food.
"Here you go, guys." Sara smiled at the two good looking guys. "Good customer bonus."
