Chapter #9A solo knight by: SonicV   As night fell on Gotham City, and the full moon rose, just like it does in EVERY episode of a Batman cartoon, the Batmobile of the future went rocketing through the air, surveying the city for any crime. Within in it was the Tommorrow Knight himself, Terry McGuiness, the Batman.
"Figures, the old man leaves, and things go right to hell." he said to himself. Bruce Wayne had been called away on business in Europe, which left Terry to look after the city by himself. Sure this had happened before, he'd been doing this for a while now, and he had beaten the real Joker a while back, but things had gotten way out of hands these past few nights. He couldn't even get Max to help him out since she was running interference with Dana, which Terry now saw as pointless because with him abruptly leaving their anniversary dinner,unknowingly to her to stop Shriek from leveling a whole city block, it was clear that they were over.
What was also clear though were the streets tonight. Gotham had been suffering a serious population drop as a wave of disappearances hit the city. The number of missing people grew each night, and Batman was determined to put a stop to it tonight. Fortunately, his scanner soon picked up to humans down on the streets, and their screams.
"AAAHHHH! GET AWAY!"
"SOMEBODY SAVE US!"
No matter how much they screamed, no one came to their aid. The cops were working on these disappearance cases to, but naturally Batman wound up finding the source first. Soon those two stopped running as they spotted the Batmobile in the sky, and witnessed a dark shape falling out of it. As his red wings retracted once his feet hit the ground, Batman got a good look at just who he was saving.
"Dee-Dees" he thought. Yes in a bizarre turn of events, the same twin clown girls he had fought against only a month ago were now running for their lives towards him. Wearing those tiny white shorts and skin tight red tops and those thigh high go go boots must have really helped them move. As they rushed towards their savior, Terry reached for some Batcuffs when two large tentacles wrapped around them. As they screamed, Batman finally saw who he was behind all this.
"Inque." his eyes widened. He wasn't shocked that Inque was back, she always came back. What caught him off guard was that kidnappings weren't Inque's M-O. However, as she raised the Dee-Dees into the air and sneered at her, not only did she look more guilty, but she then proceeded to push them into her torso, and her body started to suck her in!
"Delicious." was all Inque said as she licked her lips. Amusingly she watched as her victims splashed and struggled in the thick, black substance that made up her body. The girls gasped for air when they pulled her head free, but everything up to their hands had already been pulled in. There was nothing she could do. Even worse, it was then that Batman noticed that Inque looked much bigger than normal.  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
