Luckily, no one is in the restroom, so I wash my face in the sink and try to figure out what has happened. To my shock and horror I find a needle mark in my neck. I drop to the floor and start crying as I try to figure out who could have done such a horrible thing to me. Hurt and confused, I remember the altercation I had with Tammy Johnson at Friday night's football game. Darius Mack, the Eagle's star quarterback, picked me up and gave me a kiss on the cheek in front of all the other cheerleaders and everyone in the stadium when he completed the game-winning pass. I remember the feel of Tammy's eyes piercing the back of my neck as she watched him celebrating with me. On the school bus ride back to school, she began talking loudly to her friends about how all Darius wanted to do was use me like a wet-nap and that I was stupid enough to let him. When I got out of my seat to confront her, she went into a rage. She said that I knew that she had loved Darius since 5th grade, and that I was a whore for trying to steal her man. She vowed that I would one day get exactly what I deserved, and that she would be the one to teach me a lesson. I knew that it had to be her...who else hated me enough to do such a thing. Somehow I knew that this was only the beginning of Tammy's promise to exact her revenge upon me for stealing her man.
