This choice: A plushie answers the door • Go Back...Chapter #8The doctor's assistant, Pouch. by: Ebony   when the door is answered, a large kangaroo is ont he otherside. Close examination revels that, yes, this is a plushie roo.
It's about the size of a teenager, with a large pouch. In the pouch, sticking out, is a smaller roo, sleeping soundly, if a plushie was ever known to sleep.
You smile at the sight, it is so cute. Now you aresure you can get heklp. Jerome smiles.
"Pouch, its good to see you again. And how is he today?"
"Oh, he is just fine, sleeping now." The roo says, petting the bundle in the pouch. "It was hard for him at first, but no he likes it."
"Wait... what was hard?" You ask.
"Oh please excuse my manners." Jerome says. "Katrin, this is Pouch, assistant to the doctor nd favorite toy to all the visitors. And the one in her pouch is Billy, her former owner."
You go wide eyed. "What?! But he... that would mean..."
"I'll let the doctor explain. it may be a way to help Daniel, and he may have other ideas."
With a mile, Pouch leads you and Jerome into what appears to be a large library, though the boks inside are ones no regular man would read, and a few you have never seen before. There is even a couple magic books, if you can believe thjat.
The doctor sits at the far end of the room, a little girl asleep in the chair beside him, no doubt his granddaughter. he is an OLD man, with no hair on his head save for a couple small white patches, and a white beard. He grabs a nearby cane to help him walk, smiling as Pouch gives him a hand.
"Ah, you must be Katrin. I am so sorry we must meet under these circumstances. Now, I understand you have a problem."
You nod and begin to explain it to him, from beginning to end.
