The legend: Fat!

"How was the swim?" Russ asked.

"Enchanting," Matt said. "It's a beautiful lake."

"It is," Russ said with a smile.

"So what's the whole superstition about it?"

"Well... the legend says that whoever swims in the forbidden lake will become fat."

"Fat? That's a strange legend. I thought it'd be about somebody getting murdered, or haunted, or something."

"Yes, well, like all legends, it depends on whether or not you believe it."

"Well, do you believe it? Were you a fat guy before you went for a swim in the lake? I hope you don't mind that I called you a fat guy. I notice you didn't swim just now, only wade in the shallows. Does that count in the legend?"

"Man, aren't you full of questions! No, I don't care if you call me fat, I call me fat too! I don't know if wading counts in the legend, but I didn't feel like a swim, I wanted to look at the water bugs and little fish. I have swum in the lake though, from when I first came to Camp Willix, and before that I was....
